Régis Castonguay has been married for 36 years to Clémence Lagacé, father of 4 beautiful grown children (2 girls and 2 guys) and six wonderful grandchildren (3 guys and 3 girls).
After a year at the University of Health Sciences (Edmundston campus), he returned to work in the construction industry, a job he started part-time for nearly 4 years when he was a student.
After spending 3 years in Toronto, he returned to Campbellton and in 1990 he partnered with my older brother Venant, who had just started his business, Les Rénovations Venant Castonguay Ltée.
He worked with his brother and became Chief Supervisor in the early 2000s and subsequently bought the company, along with his son Yves in 2008. Since the company is called VC Rénovations Inc. In 2016, Régis made changes within the company. Today, the company is run with his partners Dany Roy and his son Joël. DKI VC Rénovation is recognized for being the leader in Northern New Brunswick in the field of disaster restoration.
“When I was very young, I always had the example of my father who was very involved in volunteering, and I followed in his footsteps by becoming a member of the Richelieu Club in the 1990s, of which I am still a member. I am also a member of the CER Board of Directors and the Campbellton Chamber of Commerce. I believe in our beautiful Restigouche region, I have always seen enormous potential there, so being a member of the Chamber of Commerce to advance everyone’s ideas to improve, help local businesses is very motivating for me “.
